More Than the Sum of Its Parts

More Than the Sum of Its Parts

When we look at a product, we rarely think about what went into making it. Not just the physical parts, but the journey—how an idea becomes something real. At Atelier Magnus, nothing is ever plug-and-play. It’s sketching, prototyping, failing, refining, and starting again. It’s countless questions like: Does this feel right? Will this inspire someone when they see it on their desk? Will they want to tell their friends?

This exploded view of the slate75 might look like a bunch of parts—but to us, it’s a snapshot of everything we’ve been through to get here.

Look closely at each piece in the photo. It’s not just raw material—it’s what’s taken away that makes it functional. Every notch, every cut, every hidden space was carefully designed to let the parts fit, move, and come alive as a whole. That invisible effort is what makes a product feel right. We hope you see that—not just in our work, but in anything made with care.

Most of the work is done in-house, but we collaborate with CNC experts and, at times, with designers. Not because we can’t do it ourselves, but because we believe great products come from shared skill and attention.

We’re not chasing trends. We’re building things that reflect our lifestyle and values. Tools that feel personal. Objects you want to keep. Something you’ll enjoy unboxing, using, and sharing.

This is what Atelier Magnus is about. Not just making things. But making them mean something.
